Shade of the dragon

Shade of the dragon

For this Helloween Gleb and I made a LED lit display in shape of the dragon. It was simple work to the point of Gleb doing pretty much all the work and I was simply helping out. Originally I though of installing LEDs and manually soldering them together, it would have been more precise but significantly longer in time. Instead we bought LED Christmas lights line in home depot which saved us a lot of time and cost was probably the same

It looks very good in dark room and I think we may be doing another display like that for New Year and it may be Pokemon…

Mono Lake at night

We tried some long exposure with flash light photography on Mono Lake recently. It’s fun but requires getting right settings by try and error method. I also think that best time for this kind of pictures would be before pitch black when on long exposure camera still picks up sky in dark blue color.

Mono Lake

We will certainly experiment more next time we there which is probably next year now since mountain passes are about to close for the season.

“Let’s face it, the Internet was designed for the PC. The Internet is not designed for the iPhone,” Ballmer said. “That’s why they’ve got 75,000 applications — they’re all trying to make the Internet look decent on the iPhone.”
