Last weekend we spent around Tuolumne meadows in Yosemite. Hiking loop Twenty Lakes basin past saddlebag lake. We took lake taxi across the lake for fun and to shave few miles of the hike, kids really enjoyed riding in the boat. Morning was very calm and reflections in lakes were amazing. Then we spend most of the day exploring basin and swimming in every other lake while hiking loop over to Helen lake and back via Lundy pass.
I really recommend this as a day hike or even easy backpacking trip. The area is very beautiful, plenty of water and easy hiking with virtually no ups and downs. Great place to take your kids to.
